17 November 1995...Friday...I finished my recruit training was made a private...It was the 24th recruit batch...My father went to the island of Girifushi in Male' atoll for the passing out parade ceremony...It was a rough and tough batch...I was in the Tango platoon and our platoon commander was Corporal Mohamed Sujah ( now I think a captain of NSS )...Other instructors was Sergeant Zuhuree ( now a colonel ) who was drill instructor and the platoon commander of Golf platoon...Lance Corporal Suahail was the physical training instructor and water manship instructor....Lance Corporal Naseem was the platoon commander of Charlie platoon...Both Naseem and Suhail had left NSS...Our field craft instructor was Corporal Samee ( also left NSS )...Weapons handling was taught by Lance Corporal Madhee ( still now in MNDF and I think he is a warrant officer )...I had forgotten the name our first aid instructor now...
My platoon Tango was took the lowest place of third with Charlie the best and Golf the runners up and second....The best all around student was my SEC buddy Hussain Solah ( now left MNDF ) and the most improved recruit was another SEC buddy also named Solah ( also left NSS )...Only Miraz and Saleem are the surviving school mates from SEC and all of them are now officers...
I will join Police of NSS soon and would be booted under medical and mental unfitness in early 1997...But still...hehehehe....I am very much a part of Police and MNDF although I am completely outdated....Please visit:
