Newport View

A little while ago I had coffee in the newly opened Newport View Cafe' over looking the Sinamale' Bridge and on the Raalhugandu spot...

I drank black Nescafe'™ coffee and Taza mineral water and paid using my Amex® debit card from BML...

First tax return filing and payment to MIRA

I just now filed my very first ever tax return...I filed the input and output tax statement of my business and business activity "Naheez" to MIRA using MIRAConnect online portal and paid the first tax payment of 51 MVR which is the GST return of the 850 MVR I got from my old friends Shiyaz Adam and Adam Waheed's company and they are my only current clients and customers...

I made a lot of unsuccessful and incorrect attempts to file my tax return at MIRAConnect because I am completely new to tax payment...

I also want to tell something very big I caused to happen on November 2018...My parents had gone out of the country and had left me enough money to spend...I am tired of using pirated software so I thought I would buy genuine Microsoft® Office 365™...I had a chat with a Microsoft® support representative on 6 November 2018 and I bought a monthly subscription of Office 365™ for about 88 MVR per month (5.99 US$ per month) for personal home use...

Two days later Microsoft®'s Windows™ 10 activation servers began to experience activation issues and my own genuine Windows™ 10 Pro was deactivated and it reverted to Home Edition...The problems occurred in Japan, South Korea, United States, and some other countries including my own computer in Maldives...

So, I had a chat with a automated AI (Artificial Intelligence) Virtual Agent in Microsoft® website and was taken to a chat window with a  Microsoft® support engineer...He asked me whether I have my Windows™ 7 Ultimate product key which I had used to upgrade to Windows™ 10 Pro...I replied yes and gave the key to him...Then he said that can he install an online applet in my computer and remotely access my system...I responded yes and installed the applet and I can see him accessing and playing with my computer system...He asked me to go and have snacks and drinks and I went to have a coffee and smoke...When I came back to my room, he had opened a dialog box to make a phone call to Microsoft® Singapore computerized automated phone activation...I called to that number and typed the activation product ID values into the dialog prompt in the voice automated activation service of Microsoft® Windows™ 10 Pro but the automated system rejected...

I think this is actually what happened (but I am not totally sure about this ) when I called Microsoft® Singapore...While I typed the activation ID by looking at my computer, the Microsoft® support engineer and his group of engineers in the United States Microsoft® were watching eagerly into their High Performance Computing (HPC) systems monitoring and display screens of how I was entering the figures through my mobile phone...Microsoft®s own computerized Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) systems checked and ensured that I was calling and using the mobile number registered and associated with my Microsoft® Account and that which was linked to my Windows™ 10 Pro digital license...They were astonished and satisfied that I am a human and not an automated program or bot/robot or another computer generated software...The Microsoft® engineers has now identified the source computer system from which the activation errors/problems had initially originated and it was my own computer system...

Next, I posted a support post in Microsoft® Answers forum ( here is the link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-pro-couldnt-be-acitivated-anymore/451b6f72-c735-4770-ad06-8687a78bc900 )...

After a few days and the next Friday morning, my systems Windows™ 10 Pro was reactivated...I had contacted through email with Microsoft® Azure™ Sri Lanka support team who told to signup using a incognito window of Google® Chrome™ and they were very helpful but Microsoft® Azure™ Cloud is not yet available in Maldives...

That was just an innocent effort of mine to learn new technology things on my own and to use as much genuine software products for my personal use...I hope I am forgiven for those activation trouble I had caused...
